Loaves & Fishes, Etc.
In March 2024, we have provided grocery assistance to 409 families for $14,465. The need for food resources in McDonough County continues to grow.
We are providing food vouchers, based on family size once per month. Due to funding limitations, Loaves and Fishes has suspended the Non food assistance for rent, utilities and medications until further notice. We are open Tuesdays 10 AM to 12 PM & 2 to 4 PM at the Community Center of Prairieview Townhomes, 425 N. Prairie Ave.
We are funded by the generous donations from our community. Any monetary contributions would be greatly appreciated.
- Volunteers are needed! Duties are simple – greet clients, explain services, provide vouchers. Training is also provided. Please contact Maureen Wallen or Cheryl McGowan if you are interested in helping.
