5th Grade

Welcome to fifth grade at Saint Paul School! Throughout the school year, the students will build on prior knowledge and skills, but also prepare for what is to come. Some of our focuses will be building vocabulary and comprehension, improving writing, and fraction and decimal operations. I will also be teaching science to both fifth and sixth grades. Fifth grade focuses on Earth and space science and sixth grade focuses on life science. Students will also develop spiritually this school year with deep thinking about their identity as a Christ follower. This year we will work on social-emotional skills such as building confidence, managing stress, and creative and critical thinking. Fifth grade will be spent growing the students academically, spiritually, and emotionally.
